You can now choose the French IN 1226 guideline while setting up your SWARM to monitor vibrations.
What is the IN 1226 guideline?
The IN 1226 is the French guideline for the 'Protection of railway infrastructures during work with explosives or with powerful mechanical devices.' It is an addition to the Circulaire du '86 guideline tailored to the French railways (SNCF).
Why and when to use the IN 1226 guideline
The IN 1226 provides guidelines for construction and maintenance projects executed by the SNFC. This guideline aims to protect the railways and nearby structures from structural damage caused by construction activities. It provides parameters for monitoring the vibrations caused by demolition, piling, or construction works. The SNCF and other companies working on or close to railways can now choose the IN 1226 guideline from pre-configured Honeycomb settings.
How to configure the SWARM according to the IN 1226 guideline
To configure your SWARM according to the IN 1226 guideline, visit the 'Create measuring point' page in Honeycomb. Scroll down to the 'Your SWARM settings' section and click on the 'Guideline' field. A drop-down menu will appear, and you can choose the correct guideline (see image below).
You can then select the appropriate evaluation type for your project and the IN 1226 guideline ('Fresh concrete' or 'Structure'). The SWARM settings will then automatically be changed to align with the guideline.
If you have questions about this new feature or the Honeycomb platform, we would be happy to schedule a meeting with you!
