Your benefits with our adaptable LDEN system:
- Perfectly tailored to your local requirements: Create your own day, evening, and night periods that seamlessly align with the laws and regulations of your project location.
- Complete control: Flexibly adjust evening and night penalties, exactly according to the specific regulations you're dealing with.
- Easily apply to all your projects: Save time and effort by applying your LDEN settings to all your noise monitoring projects with one click, anywhere in the world.
- Be proactive with alerts: Set your own warning levels and receive a notification when you approach the set threshold and when you exceed the permitted limit, allowing you to intervene in a timely manner.
Here's a step-by-step guide to creating your custom LDEN:
-
Navigate to your project or measuring point settings in the Honeycomb platform
-
Scroll down to the LDEN settings and select “Custom”
- Define your time periods by clicking and dragging: (click and hold while dragging)
◾ Set start and end times for Day period
◾ Set start and end times for Evening period
◾ Set start and end times for Night period
- Configure your settings by selecting the note block icon:
◾ Set up your alert thresholds:
▫️ Define warning level threshold
▫️ Define maximum limit threshold
◾ Set up your corrections (if applicable)
▫️ Define a correction per time slot
Here's how our flexible LDEN feature helps you stay compliant: Our Lden feature creates an Leq tolerance for the assigned time period. This means that if the average Leq over the elapsed time reaches your warning level, the team will be notified that noise is too high and should be reduced. For example, an LDEN of 75 dB is required from 7 am to 10 pm, if the Leq noise level reaches 70 dB by 10 am, a Warning message will be sent so the team can reduce noise and keep the average below the 75 dB limit for this time period. Additional LDEN features such as Lmax and rolling Leq intervals are also planned for development in the near future.
- Configure the alarm recipients at the bottom of the page
The LDEN settings seamlessly integrate with other system configurations. The system identifies periods that don't require measurements, such as nighttime. You can then align your measuring schedule with these LDEN settings, activating power-saving mode during inactive periods. In this example, the SWARM Sound enters sleep mode until the next LDEN block starts.
We've included powerful features to streamline your work:
- Precise time control: Set exact start and end times for each period
- Custom penalties: Fine-tune your Evening and Night penalties down to the decibel
We're continuously improving both the LDEN feature and the Honeycomb platform. For LDEN specifically, we're working on a feature that will let you easily copy settings from one day to the next.
